If the macro-framework of the budget is now being put together and the difficult political decisions in this regard are made, there will most likely be a delay in the procedure. This was said by the chairman of "We continue the change" Assen Vassilev to journalists in parliament, quoted by BTA. “What was heard last week that the 2026 budget is still being discussed by the ruling majority is very worrying“, the MP added. The budget itself must be submitted in 10 days, and before that there is at least a week in which to discuss it with the social partners, he added.
Vassilev also commented on the issue of the rotation of the speaker of parliament, indicating that this is “to cover up the impotence of GERB“. "After they said they would reformat everything, in the end it turned out that they were just spinning something," he added.
Vassilev also commented that the rule of law in Bulgaria is expected to be discussed in the European Parliament today, but no one seems to notice it.
“What is happening in Bulgaria with regard to the rule of law is a complete scandal and we have reached the point where the entire European Parliament is discussing it“, the MP believes.
The bill on the payment of young doctors should be adopted on second reading today, Assen Vassilev insisted. Let us be sure that Bulgaria will have real healthcare, he added.
Regarding the contract with “Botas“, Vassilev pointed out that when it was signed, they stated that it was unprofitable. The money will come from “Bulgargaz“, but this will most likely lead to financial problems for the company, the MP believes.
