The theater school “Arcadia Fusion Art“, owned by the Minister of Culture Marian Bachev, has worked for nearly ten years with an illegal contract in the National Community Center “Nikolay Haitov - 1936“.
This was said by the mayor of the “Izgrev“ district Delyan Georgiev after a completed inspection by the district administration. The reason for the inspection is the case with the charges brought against four people, including the actor Rosen Belov, for a crime related to coercion, in which a weapon was used. Belov worked on a civil contract at the theater school “Arcadia Fusion Art“.
“The inspection shows that there are no remarks regarding the safety of the children and the school's activities. Thank God, we have no unregulated contacts or relationships outside the norms“, said Georgiev.
According to him, the administrative inspection has established that the contract between the foundation and the community center was concluded without a decision of the board of trustees and without minutes of a meeting authorizing the chairman to sign such a document. “This makes the contract absolutely invalid, void, illegal“, commented the mayor.
He specified that there are also two annexes from 2015 and 2018, signed under the same circumstances, without the necessary decisions of the board of trustees. The management of the community center has been notified and an extraordinary meeting is scheduled to decide what actions to take.
Georgiev also said that he received a notarial summons demanding that he publicly apologize for his statements. “I do not believe that I should apologize for doing my job. I have not offended anyone, I have only announced that we are starting an investigation because of the public scandal. The opposite would be abnormal“, he said.
The mayor pointed out that there is only one legal solution to the situation - “the contract must be removed from the community center's documentation, since an illegal contract cannot continue to operate“.
According to him, the theater school will not face sanctions, since it is not a party to the administrative procedure. “The problem is how the decision was made - was it made unilaterally or without the knowledge of the board of trustees“, Georgiev specified.
He added that the district administration intervenes with inspections only when a signal is filed or in the event of significant public interest. “This community center works extremely well, the schools are full, there are many children. But the public interest in the topic is completely sufficient for the Municipality to take action and conduct an inspection“, added the mayor of the “Izgrev“ district.
Earlier, the Minister of Culture Marian Bachev told journalists that he was not aware of any problem related to the premises used by the “Arcadia Fusion Art” theater school in the “Nikolay Haitov - 1936” National Community Center in the capital's "Izgrev" district.
Bachev said on October 29 that "there are untruths that damage my prestige". "It is untrue that I am being linked to a person against whom legal proceedings are underway, which has nothing to do with me", he said. He added that untrue statements are being spread in the public space regarding his theater school and Belov's activities.
We recall that actor Rosen Belov is no longer part of the theater workshop "Arcadia Fusion ART". This is a company owned by the current Minister of Culture Marian Bachev and his wife Milena Vider, before the actor took up a government position, in which children are trained.
Hasardjiev is in custody together with another participant in the entertainment - Simeon Dryanovski, who served in the French Foreign Legion. Belov and a model from Greece are under house arrest by order of the Sofia District Court on Monday.
Dr. Stanimir Hasardjiev and the other three, accused of coercion, were left in custody. The court considered that they, as individuals and their actions, are socially dangerous. According to the court, there is no danger that they will hide, but there is a danger that they will commit a new crime. There is also a reasonable assumption that they committed what they are accused of. The decision is final.
"I did not touch this boy and I will prove it", said Hasardjiev upon entering the courtroom. He added that in his opinion the "fabricated testimony" was due to a report that he himself filed against the member of the Supervisory Board of the Health Insurance Fund, Andrey Damyanov. "They have been delaying the case against him for three years", the accused also said.
The Greek model Anastasios Mihailidzes, who was detained together with Stanimir Hasardjiev, said that he had nothing to do with the harassment of the 20-year-old boy who filed a report.
A 20-year-old boy who was questioned filed a complaint against them. According to him, the four held him forcibly in an apartment in the capital's "Dianabad" district and raped him. The apartment belongs to Stanimir Khasardjiev. Famous figures from gay circles, including politicians, often visited there. They threw parties, but so far no one has reported any violent acts.
Rosen Belov is 50 years old, and has been an actor at the "Sofia" theater for 25 years. One of his roles is Baroten in "The Debauchery" by E.E. Schmidt, according to his biography on the theater's website. For 7 years, he has been a teacher at the "Marian Bachev and Arcadia Fusion Art" children's theater workshop, led by the Minister of Culture until he took up his position in the government in February. The two have participated in many performances together. In some of them, Belov is a director.

Meanwhile, the party “Vazrazhdane“ demanded that the Minister of Culture Marian Bachev resign: “The Minister's connection with individuals with criminal activities and the information that politicians are likely to be involved in their actions give rise to the question of whether the Minister of Culture has the right to hold this position.
We call on Marian Bachev to resign, since in addition to his obvious failure to cope with his administrative duties, there are already assumptions about his connection with a person accused of criminal acts“, the party points out.
We recall that the management of the “Sofia“ Theater announced that the actor Rosen Belov has been temporarily suspended from participating in the theater's performances until all facts and circumstances of the case related to media publications about his involvement in an alleged crime and measures imposed by the competent authorities to prevent his departure are clarified.
