Six migrants died after the car carrying them overturned on the shore of Lake Vaya, BNR reported.
Before the accident, they had been chased for a long time by border police between Kiten and Burgas. The driver of the car with migrants - a Romanian citizen, survived and was detained for questioning. Three other migrants were injured and taken to the regional hospital.
The accident occurred after the car with migrants headed towards the internal road through the villages of Yasna Polyana and Rosen. When she reached the entrance to Burgas, where the checkpoint in the "Poda" area is located, she hit another car, pushed it off the road and entered the city. The pursuit continued along "Todor Aleksandrov" Boulevard, before the "Vladimir Pavlov" bridge, with a speed bump set up by the police, the car with the migrants overturned and fell into the water of the lake.
