Stanislav Anastasov: It should not occur to Radev to veto the special manager - 1

The MP from "DPS - New Beginning" Stanislav Anastasov warned the opposition and President Radev not to delay the adoption of the changes to the law on the special manager of "Lukoil". From the rostrum of the National Assembly, he emphasized that this must be done before the deadline imposed by the US for the entry into force of the sanctions – November 21.

"Anyone who tries to delay this bill with all sorts of tricks, its entry into force, is very clear that they are working to stop the refinery in Burgas from working", said Anastasov.

He directly addressed the president with the words: "I am addressing the opposition in this hall and including President Radev - if it ever crosses his mind to impose a veto and delay for 14 days, any delay in this bill will stop the refinery from working".

On behalf of the ruling party, Anastasov presented the goal of the urgent changes, which were adopted exceptionally early in the morning by the energy committee. He explained that these changes are necessary after the US refused to allow the Russian company to buy "Lukoil".

"Trump said to himself that they are a puppet of the Kremlin and will never receive a license. We have 14 days to take the necessary steps so that the refinery in Burgas can continue to operate and receive a license from the US," explained the MP.

According to him, there is fuel as well as in the reserve, which the inspection showed. And after 6 months, after the expansion of the powers of the special manager, the refinery will be able to be sold according to the model allowed by the US to Germany.

The opposition accused the government of rushing to nationalize "Lukoil", and "with more leftist steps than the left", said Yordan Ivanov from the PP-DB.

Representatives of both MECH and "Vazrazhdane" criticized the government for the way the morning meeting of the committee was conducted. According to them, the meeting was held before the announced time, and when the representatives of the opposition went to the hall, there was no one there.

"You held the meeting of the energy committee 30 seconds before the announced starting time", reproached Yordan Ivanov. PP-DB again insisted on hearing the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Energy and Economy in the plenary hall, after their proposal was previously rejected.

After the criticism, the chair of the session, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Kostadin Angelov, announced a 15-minute break.
