A total of 191 MPs were absent from the NA sessions without justification in October. This is shown by a report on the NA website, quoted by BTA.
The most absent MPs were from the GERB-SDF group. There are 66 of them, the entire group.
The leader of the DPS Novo nachod is the MP with five absences. He is followed by Branimir Balachev from GERB-SDF and Dimitar Avramov from "DPS-Novo nachod" with three unjustified absences each. 121 MPs have two unexcused absences, and 67 - one.
From "Vazrazhdane" 30 MPs have unexcused absences, from "DPS-New Beginning" - 29, from "There Is Such a People" - 17, from "BSP-United Left" - 16, "Moral, Unity and Honor" - 11, from "Velicie" - 10, from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) nine, from "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" - two. Mario Rangelov, who is not a member of a parliamentary group, has one unexcused absence.
The absences of the members of parliament are mainly on October 15, 16 and 17, when the parliament is not in session due to lack of a quorum.
According to the Rules of Procedure for the Organization and Activities of the National Assembly (PODNS), the member of parliament is obliged to attend the sessions of the National Assembly. A member of parliament who has to be absent from a session for valid reasons shall notify the Speaker of the Parliament in advance. In the event of an unexcused absence from a plenary session, a deduction equal to his daily salary is made.
