Vasil Tonchev on the Constitutional Court's decision: There is no time for a referendum - 1

Natalia Kiselova took one side on the topic of the euro and made a political decision, which the ruling majority also stood behind. Most likely, the legal rules were not followed, but she may receive an administrative penalty. Even if the president's request enters the plenary hall, it will be rejected, and there is no time to hold a referendum. The case has been resolved and it is in the interest of our European integration.

This was stated on the show "Denyat na Zievo" on NOVA NEWS sociologist Vasil Tonchev, who commented on the topics of the Constitutional Court's decision that the Speaker of the National Assembly does not have the right to assess whether it is permissible to hold a national referendum and the budget.

"It is possible that Natalia Kiselova will be nominated as the presidential candidate by the BSP. The other name that is being mentioned is that of Iliyana Yotova. Who will be elected is a matter of internal politics. In my opinion, both have a chance, but both will seek external support, because it is clear that with the support of the BSP alone they cannot win", he added.

"This budget is left-wing and there are no reforms in it. The problems will come in the next budget, when we will have to pay for what we are spending now. Still, we must say that Bulgaria is not in an economic crisis and we are not that far from the European standard. Still, unpopular measures must be taken. There are also problems with business. "The fact is that it is scandalous for government officials not to pay their social security contributions. It turns out that the private sector pays the public sector, and salaries in both sectors have become equal. The good thing about our entry into the eurozone is that the next budget will be monitored by the European Bank and institutions," Vasil Tonchev was categorical.
