A monument to Zahari Stoyanov was unveiled with a solemn ceremony in Sofia.
The monument to the author of “Notes on the Bulgarian Uprisings“ is located between the building of the National Assembly, where the deputies met until recently, and the cathedral “St. Alexander Nevsky“.
The project is made possible thanks to donors and an initiative committee headed by former caretaker prime minister Dimitar Glavchev.
The authors of the monument are sculptor Ivan Cholakov, artist Professor Plamen Valchev and architect Dimitar Mladenov.
