It was established today that there are no grounds for Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev to continue to be in custody, because this is not required by the needs of justice. This was what Kotsev's lawyer Ina Lulcheva told "Focus".
"With the filing of the indictment itself, it turned out that all the arguments of the prosecution so far were misleading, because they did nothing after August", she said, adding that nothing new and significant has been collected since then.
"We can argue that all this was a repression against Blagomir Kotsev", she said.
Regarding the 200,000 leva bail, Lulcheva said that the money must first be collected. She emphasized that there were people in the square who expressed their readiness and desire to personally collect them.
Kotsev's lawyer explained that when the amount is transferred, then he will be able to go home.
As it became clear earlier today, the mayor of Varna is being released on bail of 200,000 leva, which must be transferred within 7 days.
