The Sofia District Court has left four of those detained at the protest on December 1 in custody, bTV reported.
According to the prosecutor's office, from the evidence collected, the youths threw stones, bombs and glass bottles at police officers. Relatives of some of the detainees claim that they were detained without having committed hooligan acts.
The state prosecution is requesting the permanent detention of five of the detainees for previous criminal acts. Five others were released, three on bail and two on recognizance. One of them is Bozhidar Bobokov, son of businessman Atanas Bobokov, who was accused of setting a bucket on fire.
The measure of Nikolay Aleksiev, whose mother claims he was beaten in custody, is also pending consideration.
