We remain firmly behind our anti-corruption program and will continue the fight against the corruption model in the country. This was stated in “Speak Now“ Ivaylo Mirchev from the PP-DB.
Regarding Rumen Radev, Mirchev explained that he still does not have a specific position until the people and the program behind him become clear.
“Our voters are intellectuals. Those who support the PP-DB have quite serious skepticism about Rumen Radev. Of his decisions, as president, of his actions, mainly in geopolitical terms. And we have not spared this criticism over time. It's just that the big question before us is different. And this is the task that the people of the protest gave us.“
Mirchev emphasized that the hundreds of thousands of people who came out to the protests have given a clear mandate to implement the promised anti-corruption program. According to him, the main commitment remains the destruction of the corruption model and the removal of Delyan Peevski from Bulgarian politics.
He emphasized that Rumen Radev still does not have a party and a program and it is not clear who the people behind them are to have a position on whether it is possible to have future actions with the former head of state.
According to him, the lists are yet to be drawn up. Regarding Lena Borislavova and whether she will be part of them, it became clear from his words that she has an important role for “Yes, Bulgaria“, but she also has her personal opinion on the subject.
“The battle for Bulgaria is not a battle for quotas. The battle for Bulgaria is a battle to end the corruption model, to destroy it and to remove Peevski from Bulgarian politics.“
Ivaylo Mirchev stated that together with Bozhidar Bozhanov they filed a report against Delyan Peevski for financial discrepancies.
„We filed a report with Bozhidar Bozhanov for a discrepancy of over 100 million leva between what he declared as dividends and what companies with his participation paid him.“
They are also preparing another report, which would be very interesting. He also reminded about the "You Count" initiative:
„With the "You Count" initiative, we are gathering thousands of people who become observers and advocates. Some of them will fly drones to monitor risky areas and identify vote buyers.“
