„Mario Draghi's report is an admission of the failure of the current model. The EU is losing competitiveness because it is taking it away from itself – through over-regulation, ideological policies and centralized, mistaken decisions, detached from the real economy”.
This was stated during the debate on Mario Draghi's report by the chairman of the European party „Europe of Sovereign Nations“, vice-chairman of the parliamentary group in the European Parliament and MEP elected by „Vazrazhdane“ Stanislav Stoyanov.
„Unfortunately, the EU's foreign policy and energy decisions also contribute to the crisis. And it is also demographic. In countries like Bulgaria, it leads to depopulation and destruction of entire regions”, Stoyanov continued and pointed out that when the economy is uncompetitive, people emigrate. Importing labor from third countries does not solve the problem, but leads to irreversible demographic changes.
„The EU must stop sabotaging itself by simplifying regulations, ensuring affordable energy and supporting national economies”, Stanislav Stoyanov also pointed out and summarized:
„For millions of Europeans, competitiveness is not a term from a report. It is the electricity bill, the price of food and the decision whether to stay in your homeland. We need an economy that works for citizens, not against them!”
