PP includes faces from the protests in its lists - 1

„We Continue the Change“ includes some of the brightest faces of the protest in its lists, as well as people with an active civic position. During the most massive protests in the last 30 years, a whole new generation appeared in the squares and recognizable personalities, who repeatedly expressed their intolerance against the mafia and the management model of Borisov and Peevski.

From the Gen-Z generation, Malena Malcheva is included in the lists of „We Continue the Change“. She is 22 years old and was one of the leading figures during the mass protests in December. She is currently a third-year law student at the University of National and World Economy, and also works in the insurance sector. What is her motivation for entering the race for parliament: “I decided to be part of the PP lists due to the fact that young people are underestimated - the deputies in the National Assembly should represent the people, respectively, the young people also deserve their place there. I believe that all young people carry within themselves the thirst for justice and I am ready to show it.“ Malena Malcheva has been co-chair of “Youth for Change“ since October 2025.

Another representative of Gen-Z who is on the lists of “Continuing Change“ is Alexander Ivanov, a law student at Sofia University. On December 6, 2025, he was among the founders of the “Students Against the Mafia” Association. Then the students and alumni of the Faculty of Law of Sofia University stated: “We unite as a generation that refuses to accept as normal to tolerate the backstage, uncontrolled power and institutional arbitrariness, embodied by Delyan Peevski, Boyko Borisov and those associated with them!“ In an interview with Darik Radio, Alexander Ivanov stated: “I was born here, I want to die here too. I cannot imagine leaving the country, leaving my family and going somewhere else, given that everything I have, all the people around me, are here, they are not abroad“.

Zhana (Svetlana) Osmak is a Bulgarian of Turkish origin with an active civic position on social networks. “Bulgarian Turks are not what the MRF shows them to be!“, says Osmak, who refuses to be represented by Delyan Peevski, who has been sanctioned for corruption. In her frank statement at the protest on December 10, 2025, she stated: “We are tired of the country we were born in being our stepmother. We are tired of being used as vote farms and a defensive wall. Instead of integration, we are receiving social castration“. As a Bulgarian of Turkish origin, Zhana (Svetlana) Osmak says: “We allowed you to steal our parents' past, but we will not allow you to steal our future!“ Osmak formulates her motivation for entering the PP lists as follows: “My heart and soul draw me to the Bulgarian Turks, I want to meet them and I want to represent them. Let their authentic voice be heard in parliament.“

Marin Tikhomirov is one of the brightest spokesmen for the Roma community in recent years and an uncompromising fighter for justice. He was one of the speakers at the hundred-thousand protest on December 10, 2025 in Sofia. His cause is to convince as many representatives of the Roma community as possible not to sell their votes. Marin Tikhomirov says: “People should get active and vote en masse, and parties that buy votes should be electoral dwarfs and lose interest in politics.“

“We Continue the Change“ includes in its quota on the PP-DB list Martina Stefanova - a long-time active participant in cultural and public life, winner of a Forbes Bulgaria award, with over 10 years of work for the preservation of old Sofia and the creation of the protected architectural zone KvARTal. Earlier this year, she won a victory to preserve the Sofia Amphitheater, supported by nearly 13,000 citizens for its official acquisition by the Ministry of Culture. As a candidate for MP, she will defend strong policies for culture, education and the urban environment, placing Bulgarian identity and cultural values at the center of social development.

Expect in the coming days to announce the names of even more new valuable people with whom “We Continue the Change“ will strengthen the PP-DB lists in the upcoming elections.
