The state of the judicial system is such that we are constantly waiting for something, said in "The Day Begins" on BNT Boyko Naydenov, former director of the National Investigation Service and former deputy prosecutor general.
"We have an expired Supreme Judicial Council three years ago. This council, which is currently operating, is not legitimate to elect new leaders. We have an inspectorate that states: "We cannot punish the magistrates, as our mandate has expired", but in fact they continue to operate. As our colleague said, they receive their salaries. So they are legitimate. And what is Borislav Sarafov waiting for? Well, maybe he should say what exactly he is waiting for, because for me this behavior is also unacceptable. There are enough magistrates who could take over the functions of the Prosecutor General until a regular Prosecutor General is elected.", Naydenov also commented.
Regarding the statement by Ivan Bregov from the Institute for Market Economics that there is a successor to the Notary in the Supreme Court of Cassation, Naydenov explained that it is the job of the National Security Agency, the Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office, and the prosecutor's office to reveal this, to bring it to court. When the tracks are covered up, when things remain unclear, there will always be similar things.
"Infinitely many cases, noisy cases, cases that are discussed incorrectly, do not end. There are no final results. There is no result in which the court can finally rule and say - guilty of this and that. So these people are involved in this, this and that, for which they receive this sentence. Here it is, look, a fuss is being made. Every fuss for three days, then it gradually sinks somewhere in the folders, somewhere in the institutions and finally nothing. That made us add Petyo Evroto to the list, because there we have information, we know what it is about, but it was not proven. But there is no result. ", added the former deputy prosecutor general.
He also explained that the replacement of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the directors of the regional directorates is already a tradition and happens with every change of government.
Every government, whether in a regular cabinet or a caretaker cabinet, replaces the previous ones. So at the moment, those who were appointed and are now being fired, they came in the same way. There is really no stability, he added.
