Thick black smoke rises near the Rowing Base in Plovdiv, in the direction of the Plovdiv neighborhood “Hristo Smirnenski“, which caused concern among the residents of the area. According to information from the fire department, a fire alarm was reported at 12:08 p.m., reports NOVA.
The Regional Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection“ reported that it was burning waste north of the Rowing Base, about a kilometer and a half from a large residential complex.
A fire department team was sent to the scene to work on controlling the fire. There are no reports of injured people or affected buildings.
The thick smoke is visible from different parts of the city, which attracted the attention of many citizens. The fire department states that the situation is under control and actions are being taken to extinguish the flames.
