„They sent a draft budget, we supported it. Instead of thanking, they make crazy statements”. This was stated to journalists by GERB leader Boyko Borisov, quoted by Nova TV.
In Razgrad, where he is visiting, he announced that Krasimir Valchev will be the leader of the list there.
Borisov commented on the war in the Middle East and the effect on fuel prices. „Speculation is possible. Here the role of the government, the National Revenue Agency, „Customs”, the CPC should not allow speculation. The sanctions on Russian oil should be looked at pragmatically. As far as I know, they were lifted in a month. Whatever is in the seas and oceans, it should be possible to buy, to secure, so that we have it. In addition to the fact that prices will rise, it may at some point be gone. Not just bought up – simply gone. There will be a deficit”, commented Borisov.
He warned that we must also carefully monitor the migrant crisis.
Regarding Donald Trump's Peace Council, Borisov said that Delyan Peevski has no role whatsoever. “I can say this to Mirchev, Vassilev, and Gyurov. The fact that they are proposing it for ratification now is because they have that right. We are in the position that if we do not support it, it is as if we do not support Rosen Zhelyazkov, who signed it, and Nikolay Mladenov. And if we support it, as we will do, it turns out that we are supporting Peevski. This is nonsense", said Borisov.
He also commented that with the adoption of the Corporate Income Taxation Act, an essential part of GERB's program has been fulfilled. "With the adoption of this law today, an opportunity is provided for a much more modern industry and economy. The essential part of it is that the taxes of all companies and firms that introduce innovations that have research and development activities are reduced by 25%. With the product they have made, another 25% of their tax is reduced. This will bring many companies to Bulgaria", said Borisov.
"The other thing, which concerns businesses in Razgrad, including 50% per year of depreciation deductions for electric vehicles", Borisov said and specified that this law was one of the requirements under the Recovery Plan.
