"Dear son, Ivik, in your last earthly words you asked me for forgiveness, now it's my turn - I beg you - forgive me. I am canceling your announced funeral for March 22, I cannot allow this holy ritual to be a platform for the media and people with hatred in their hearts," writes Stella Dimitrova-Maistorova, the mother of Ivaylo Kalushev, found dead in a camper in early February. Days before his body was discovered, the mother received a text message in which Kalushev asked her for forgiveness.
She announced that the ritual will be in a narrow circle. "It will be when we find the strength and feel that you are ready too", the mother writes.
The message was published on the Facebook profile of Rumen Leonidov, close to the family.
A few days ago, the body of the self-proclaimed lama Ivaylo Kalushev was handed over to his relatives. He was found shot in a camper near Okolchitsa Peak, along with 15-year-old Alexander Makulev and 22-year-old Nikolay Zlatkov, also shot. This happened a week after three bodies related to Kalushev's group were found at the former "Petrokhan" hut.
The main version of the police and according to the latest data from the services about what happened is that it was a murder and suicide. However, the relatives of the victims dispute the claims of the institutions.
