In Bulgaria, the prosecution is used outside the law. In fact, it is used as a bat. This was stated by Kiril Petkov to journalists today in connection with the hearing of the case against him, filed due to the arrests of Boyko Borisov, Vladislav Goranov and Sevdalina Arnaudova before 2022, quoted by "Focus".
"There are two types of Bulgarians - those who fight the prosecution in the courtroom because we are free and we are not afraid. There are also people who deal with corpses. These people are the most unfree people in Bulgaria. And the problem with them is that they are blackmailed and cannot have their own decision about their own actions. For example, Borisov, with the 70 cases of corpses, is currently more unfree than even Blago Kotsev was when he was in custody," said the former leader of "We Continue the Change".
At this meeting, Petkov attacked the prosecution and the leader of GERB.
Regarding the statement of the European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi about his arrest 4 years ago, that the European Prosecutor's Office had nothing to do with these actions, Boyko Borisov commented yesterday:
"They fabricated a process, for which they will bear responsibility, of course. Very amateurishly, in my opinion, they also interfered with the name of the European Prosecutor's Office, so that the manipulation would be even stronger, even more powerful. And today is another slap in the face for the fabrications they were making. But we were hanging from our cells and suffered a lot. "That was the worst day of my life since my mother died."
