Speaker of the National Assembly Raya Nazaryan and participants in the second Parliamentary Summit honored the memory of the victims of the Bucha massacre. They attended a memorial ceremony at the “St. Andrew“ church.
There is no one who can remain indifferent to the events that took place in Bucha, said Raya Nazaryan. They shocked the entire world community with their brutality and complete disregard for all humane norms, she pointed out. I am here to show that we will not forget the murder of hundreds of innocent citizens in Bucha and will insist on the creation of international mechanisms to hold the perpetrators accountable, the Speaker of the Parliament noted.
Raya Nazaryan pointed out that the crimes of the aggressor in Bucha are not isolated incidents, but part of a broader pattern of systematic violence committed by Russian forces throughout Ukraine. I believe that efforts to define stable international mechanisms to hold them accountable will be able to address the full spectrum of violations, she stressed.
The second Parliamentary Summit in Bucha, organized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is attended by chairmen and members of the leaderships of national parliaments of EU member states, Moldova, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as the European Parliament, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
