The Council of Ministers has adopted compensation for businesses due to increased fuel prices. The main change provides that compensation for electricity consumption above the threshold of 122.71 euros (or 240 leva) will now be calculated monthly, and not every six months, as before. This was announced by the acting Minister of Energy Traycho Traykov at a briefing.
According to him, this allows for better planning of companies' expenses, and also prevents reinsurance by raising the prices of goods and services. This, in turn, will lead to a lower and predictable price for consumers.
At the same time, it is planned to open the data of the Electricity System Security Fund, so that all beneficiaries will now be public. It serves to compensate for rising electricity prices.
“All data on beneficiaries will now be public, taking into account the protection of sensitive information,“ he added.
