Who will be the Minister of Justice in the government of Rumen Radev is a question that greatly excites magistrate circles. Popova is a respected lawyer, long-time lecturer and senior prosecutor. From February 21, 2007 to July 27, 2009, she headed the "Countering Crimes Against the EU Financial System" department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office, which investigates financial fraud involving EU funds.
She has been Minister of Justice since July 27, 2009 in the first government of Boyko Borisov. Vice President of Bulgaria from January 22, 2012 to 2017.
