One of the main goals is to dismantle the "Peevski - Borisov" model, said Ivan Demerdzhiev from "Progressive Bulgaria" in the studio of "From the Day" on BNT.
Ivan Demerdzhiev, "Progressive Bulgaria": "We will need help, but it is not help for us. It is help for the cause of making the necessary changes in the judicial system. In fact, many political parties have made such requests. We stated very clearly in the election campaign, we confirm it now – one of the main goals is to dismantle the "Peevski - Borisov" model. There is no way we can seek the support of Peevski and Borisov to dismantle their model with its protection in the justice system."
Demerdzhiev also commented on the possible support from GERB and DPS.
Ivan Demerdzhiev, "Progressive Bulgaria": "We do not expect support from there, but we believe that the other political forces – PP and DB, and "Vazrazhdane", if they are firm in their positions, will support us in our quest to elect new representatives to the Supreme Judicial Council and a new prosecutor general."
On the separation of PP and DB, Ivan Demerdzhiev commented:
Ivan Demerdzhiev, "Progressive Bulgaria": "The emergence of two entities instead of one will complicate negotiations and conversations, but I hope that these two entities will follow the line they promised their voters."
In response to questions about possible political arrests, Demerdzhiev stated:
Ivan Demerdzhiev, "Progressive Bulgaria": "Don't expect this from us, expect the law to be applied very strictly to everyone. If anyone should be worried about anything, it's their own actions in the past."
