The traditional Labor Day procession rally organized by the BSP was held in Sofia, BNT reported.
It was under the slogan "We work, but we are poor. Enough! There is no second life". It started from the "Ariana" lake and reached the summer stage in Borisova Gradina. Those gathered insisted on guaranteed and protected labor rights and decent salaries and pensions.
Krum Zarkov – Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party: "Today is a holiday, but above all a date on which we should remember the meaning of politics and the meaning of life… because man is not a means of production, because what we create we create together and we all have the right to a decent life, which we can obtain with decent work, because when in a society there is no work – what leads to dignity, it degenerates, and unfortunately we have been witnessing similar phenomena in Bulgaria for decades."
