On October 7, 2026, the NATO Military Committee held an extended meeting in Kiev. The Chief of Defense, Adm. Emil Eftimov, apparently received an order NOT to participate in it. It is curious whether Bulgaria was represented at all.
This was written on "Facebook" by Todor Tagarev.
Addendum: Major General Yavor Mateev, military representative to NATO and the EU, participated in the meeting.
Which does not mean that the absence of the Chief of Defense is not a problem.
