I hesitated for a long time whether Kalin Stoyanov should remain the interior minister. I had meetings with the police unions, but after the Chief Secretary resigned yesterday, I decided that a new person in the Ministry of Internal Affairs would be a big shock to the system.
This was stated by Dimitar Glavchev during the presentation of the official ministers. Kiril Vatev and Georgi Gvozdeikov also keep their posts.

"I tried to have experts in the cabinet, to have continuity and to be politically balanced. The main task of the caretaker government will be to ensure fair elections. However, this does not mean that it will stop working in other areas. Bulgaria's European path will be followed," Glavchev said before reading the names of his proposed ministers to the president and the representatives of the parliamentary groups.
President Rumen Radev pointed out that he had not interfered in any way in the design of the cabinet proposed by Glavchev. He added that according to the changes in the constitution, the responsibility for the official cabinet no longer rests solely with the president, but with the National Assembly. That is why, for the first time, the president holds consultations with all political forces at the same time.
"Society expects an hour sooner clarity about the caretaker government and the date for the elections. That is why I am conducting the consultations in the presence of Dimitar Glavchev, my proposed candidate for acting prime minister, so that one of the conditions can be fulfilled. Namely - for the National Assembly, through these consultations, to be part of the process of forming an official government, for which it will have to bear responsibility accordingly. In this sense, it is completely natural to receive information at this stage from Mr. Glavchev personally, and not from the media," said Rumen Radev.
President Rumen Radev holds consultations with the parliamentary parties represented in the 49th National Assembly.
Dimitar Glavchev, the candidate for acting prime minister, also took part in the consultations. Representatives of GERB, We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria, Vazrazhdane and There is such a nation entered the presidency.
A little earlier, Georgi Svilenski from BSP said that they will not participate in consultations.
