Rosen Hristov threatens to sue the state for the accusations about the contract with " ;Botash".
"This depends on the actions of the state, I have not seen the official report, it has not been accepted, there are some false and manipulative statements written by people who are MPs without any experience in energy. They refused to use specialists for the analysis, despite my pleas. This is a completely political report, they are attacking a strategically important contract for the country and they are attacking me. It's high time someone did something about it - this parliament has usurped the judicial power, usurped the executive power, it has become an investigation, they conduct interrogations, give verdicts, said the former energy minister in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".
In his words, this cannot be tolerated any longer.
"People like me, who have the capacity to fight, know how and have the necessary resources, should do it, so far I have avoided such confrontations because it also damages the image of the country. He is so damaged beyond belief that he has nowhere else to go. What is being said in the media, that this contract was disastrous for the country and that hundreds of millions would leave, are manipulations and fabrications," Hristov added on Bulgaria ON AIR.
He clarified that the contract is absolutely normal and standard for the industry.
"The price is estimated to be market, I don't know who says the contract is overpriced, etc. The idea was for Bulgaria to be supplied with non-Russian gas, if we do not use the terminal in Greece, which is not yet ready, and the terminal in Turkey - does such gas come to Bulgaria? Apparently from Russia. They reversed the trend with the middlemen. "Absolutely all countries have said that they want to reduce their dependence on Russia," Rosen Hristov also commented.
The former energy minister is adamant that this contract works perfectly for those who are opponents of the president and gives an advantage to the mediators.
"Why is there no commission to investigate "Heating Sofia"? Why isn't there an investigation into what is happening with PVU? The reason is a political attack, favoring the mediators and hiding the real problems - PVU for 8 billion, equipment in "Belene" for 2.5 billion. How come there are no commissions for billions, but there are commissions for millions?", he asked, recalling that the contract was signed publicly and his signature is not on it.
