Parties and/or coalitions submit an application in the Central Election Commission (CEC) to make changes in the composition and/or in the name of a registered coalition until 5:00 p.m. today, May 4, according to the CEC's schedule for the elections for members of the European Parliament from Bulgaria and for people's representatives from June 9, BTA reported.
At a briefing on April 30, CEC Deputy Chairperson Rositsa Mateva said that 23 parties and 11 coalitions had submitted registration documents, and noted that one party had its registration deleted. 22 parties and 11 coalitions remained registered and will participate in the elections. Of these, one party and one coalition are registered only to participate in the elections for people's representatives, Mateva said.
To participate in the elections for members of the EP from Bulgaria, three initiative committees have been registered to nominate three independent candidates.
According to the schedule, until May 7, a party or coalition can request that its registration to participate in the elections be deleted.
Until 5:00 p.m. on May 7, the parties, coalitions and initiative committees make proposals to the CEC for the registration of candidate lists in the elections for members of the EP, as well as to the RIC for the registration of candidate lists in the elections for people's representatives.< /p>
