Agency "Road Infrastructure" applied with 16 project ideas under Priority 1 "Integrated urban development" under the 2021-2027 Regional Development Program, FOCUS reported
The total budget of the program is BGN 3.6 billion, which is provided by the European Fund for Regional Development. Of these, the planned financial resource for integrated urban development of the regions is nearly BGN 1.1 billion.
The application procedure is pilot and includes concepts for integrated territorial investments in the 10 large municipalities - Blagoevgrad, Vidin, Pleven, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Varna, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv and Stolichna Municipality. The main approach of the program is for regional and municipal level institutions in dialogue and cooperation with local communities to participate in the formation and realization of the vision for socio-economic development in populated areas (the so-called "bottom-up" approach).
The API team, as a beneficiary in the previous program periods, using its administrative and practical experience in the implementation of infrastructure projects under operational programs, actively participated in the application campaign under the "Development of the Regions" Program. 2021-2027.
