SOVA HARIS gave more than 10% lead for GERB over PP-DB - 1

GERB leads by 10.5% over PPDB in the parliamentary elections - 26.6 against 16 ,1. Third is "Revival" with 15.3%. This is according to a study by the SOVA HARRIS Agency.

It was conducted in the period May 8-13, 2024 among 1000 Bulgarian citizens using the standardized face-to-face interview method in the respondent's home. Maximum error for 50% relative proportion at 95% guaranteed probability: 3.4%. The study was commissioned by "PEAK BROADCASTING" Inc.

Of the leaders of political parties participating in the upcoming elections, confidence is highest in Boyko Borisov (21.3%). Apparently, the chairman of GERB manages to maintain his public image. In this way, it also helps to increase the rating of his party. The same arguments can be made for the leader of “Revival“ Kostadin Kostadinov, who occupies the fourth place with 18.1%. Vanya Grigorova (16.3%) also received a relatively high degree of trust, who together with her coalition partner Maya Manolova (13.9% trust) boosted the result of the "Solidary Bulgaria" formation led by them.

This cannot be said for the leaders of PP-DB: Kiril Petkov (13.4%), Asen Vasilev (12.6%), Hristo Ivanov (11.4%) and Atanas Atanasov (9.4% ). Even though they are established politicians, they receive trust that is close to or lower than that of the coalition they represent, and this is definitely a problem in a pre-election situation. Confidence in Slavi Trifonov is 14.1%, Kornelia Ninova – 13.3%, Stefan Yanev – 11.4%, Rumen Hristov – 8.9%, Krasimir Karakachanov – 8.3%, Peter Moskov – 7.3%, Kostadin Paskalev – 6.4%. It can be said that the degree of trust in all of them exceeds the attitude of support for the political projects they lead.

Trust in political parties essentially defines the limit within which their electoral support can grow. The research shows that the GERB-SDS coalition is the best in terms of this indicator as well, with 22.4% voter trust. Second place - perhaps no longer surprising – is “Revival“ with 15.6%. The third place goes to BSP with 13.5%, which reflects the potential of left-wing voters in general. Fourth place according to this indicator is occupied by “There is such a people” (12.0%). They are followed by the ruling coalition PP-DB with 11.3%.

GERB emerged as the clear leader of the upcoming vote with support of 26.6%. Intrigue emerges in the fight for second place: 16.1% say they will vote for PP-DB, 15.3% - for “Revival” and 15.0% - for DPS. The big question mark here is the outcome of the until recently ruling coalition, as it is difficult to determine where the ebb and flow of support for it will stop. The final stage of the campaign will be decisive for PP-DB.

„Revival“ and DPS entered these elections in good shape and are expected to mobilize their traditional supporters. The BSP in its version stabilized in fifth place. Socialists are no longer a monopoly in the left political space. “The Left“ and the new formation "Solidary Bulgaria" have a stable presence on the political scene. Moreover, the coalition of Vanya Grigorova and Maya Manolova even has a chance to enter the next parliament. This will be decided in the final phase of the campaign.

Slavi Trifonov's party is currently firmly above the barrier for entry into the National Assembly.
