Asen Vassilev: We will not form a coalition with GERB and DPS, in Bulgaria there is a majority for change - 1

During the the election campaign most often people ask about income, how to live better, when will we catch up with Europe. This is what he said in the show "Face to Face" on BTV, the co-chairman of "We continue the change" Asen Vassilev.

In the last 3 years, we have established a European economic model that aims to reduce inequalities. There is no way we can become a developed country with cheap labor. We switched to a model for Bulgarian industry to have some of the lowest energy prices, as well as we gave loans from the state for companies to buy equipment to increase labor productivity. And it showed in the results. If we had continued with the rate of increase of incomes, which was until 2020, we would have reached the average European incomes in 2066. If the pace of the European economic model is maintained, after 10-12 years we will reach the average European incomes, Vassilev stated.< /p>

In his words, the claims that the wage increases were "eaten" of inflation, do not correspond to the truth. The increase is 53% and inflation is 33%, i.e. we have 20% real income growth, he added.

If you look at the last five elections, there have been two governments. Both governments did "Continue the change", and we did both, even though we didn't have a majority. It was the best for the country to move forward. Budgets of the country were adopted, a law on the anti-corruption commission was adopted. At the moment there is no government, because we saw that on paper there was support for the reforms we proposed, but when the moment came for the rules for appointments after transparent competitions, it was seen that with GERB and DPS we are looking in different directions. If we wanted party quotas, we would still be in power. We wanted fair competitions, pointed out the co-chairman of "We continue the change".

In the pre-election campaign, the official cabinet tried to return us to the model "if the number passes" – and with pensions, and with the private children's hospital, and with electricity prices, and with doctors' salaries. The lean pizza model - no money for the people, but there is money at the end of the year to give out to 12 oligarchs, has led us to levels of inequality somewhere between Bolivia, the Central African Republic and Cameroon. In the last 3 years, this has started to fall, but we are still very far from the average European levels, noted Asen Vassilev.

He denied the allegations that during the administration of the cabinet "Denkov" road construction has stopped. In the last 10 months, 30 kilometers of highways and expressways have been opened. We did, but we don't go on TV to cut ribbons. The program for municipal projects also started – a small revolution. Contracts for BGN 2 billion have been signed with MRRD. In the budget for this year alone, over BGN 1.7 billion will be paid, he commented.

In his words, the support for "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria" has decreased" "because of the fact that we formed a government and soiled ourselves by allowing support from GERB and DPS". But the other option was to stay with Radev's official government, which would lead us in the direction of Moscow, and without constitutional changes.

This Constitution does not allow for a single government. We have at least two people from different political backgrounds, from whom President Radev can choose as acting prime minister, Vasilev pointed out.

He also commented on the latest recording of conversations between leading figures in "Continuing the Change". This is a complete fake. The quality is low so that words can be arranged however they want. This type of thing doesn't work. It also turned out that there was no charge of smuggling against the arrested head of customs, it turned out that there was no European warrant for the arrest of Pascal, who was accused of being a big mobster. The allegation at this point is that she promoted several customs officials without asking them. It appeared that I had not met the designated smugglers. I can't say if the photos with the poodle are real, let someone who has investigated say. If all of this were true, it would have been used against us with charges brought. Right now, the entire deep state is playing against us. If we had taken a penny illegally, they would have already arrested us, emphasized the co-chairman of "We continue the change".

In response to a question, he assured that "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria" they will not enter into a coalition with GERB and DPS after the elections on June 9. During the election campaign, we very clearly told the Bulgarian citizens that there is no way there, but they also very clearly saw the choice between the two economic models – or that of lean pizza, or the European financial model for the development of the country, where there is money for everything and it is distributed in a transparent way. According to sociological surveys, there is a majority in this country for change and for movement towards Europe, not for the stable poverty in which we have been kept for so many years. If these people come out and vote, the data of the sociologists will have nothing to do with the truth, and there will be a majority for change in the parliament as well. As the popular joke says, throw a slip if you want to win something, Asen Vassilev also said.
