Rumen Hristov: Let the colleagues from PP-DB find partners and form a government - 1

GERB-SDS will not support a government with the second and third terms. If we subtract our 68 people's representatives, 172 remain – enough majority to form a government. Let the PP-DB colleagues find partners and form a government. I wish them success! This was said by the deputy chairman of the PG of GERB-SDS and chairman of the SDS Rumen Hristov in the program "Bulgaria, Europe and the world in focus" on Radio "Focus“.

In his words, in the 50th National Assembly, as well as in the 49th, there is a Euro-Atlantic majority. "It's just that there is some personal inadmissibility between individual political figures and the PP-DB colleagues did not support us. Here, it seems, the question is not so much how to manage, but with whom to manage. There is a rivalry, a competition, a competition between the leaders, which on the one hand is good, but points of contact should also be sought. The situation is very complicated. We are heading for new elections, in my opinion, but this is part of the democratic process. We have to think now about the next 51st Parliament and find what brings us together. What separates us is clear“, Hristov declared.

According to him, the configuration in the next parliament would be different. "We won't have such a big, powerful group in second place on the DPS side. One or the other minor contender for Parliament is likely to enter. "Majesty“ maybe they won't have a chance, maybe someone else will have it”, thinks the chairman of the SDF.

The priorities of the next government should be entry into Schengen, the Eurozone and the OECD and work on the Recovery and Resilience Plan. These are topics behind which, according to him, political parties should and can unite. The country and the economy need a regular cabinet, emphasized Rumen Hristov.

Judicial reform is also an important topic, but it must happen after broad discussion and consensus. "This is a constant chewing gum for PP-DB colleagues, which has been exploited for years. We supported their proposals made by three former ministers of justice, we trusted them, we made them and now we are trembling whether they will be rejected by the Constitutional Court. Hasty actions do not always lead to something of good quality, Hristov commented
