As “another brutal attempt by PP-DB to violate the Constitution” Yordan Tsonev from DPS decided the request of PP-DB that President Rumen Radev postpone for three months the handing over of the second mandate to form a government, reports Nova TV.
„ The President brought them back to reality. The procedure under Art. 99 of the Constitution, which provides for a majority to elect a government. They went to inform him that they wanted to make legislative changes. Denkov said that they will hunt down the corrupt in the parliament. I did not understand if these people are in reality, where they are. People, when they hear PP-DB talk about corruption, they think of poodles, tutus and smuggling... I don't know with what kind of mind they do it,”, Tsonev added.
“Then we heard that a declaration must be adopted, with which the people's representatives undertake to adopt certain laws. You can imagine what a mockery of the Constitution this is. Prior commitment to a particular law. Prior agreement to adopt a law categorically contradicts the order described in the Constitution”, added the DPS deputy.
Tsonev indicated that he was against the proposed declaration. “I don't see who would support such legislative insanity”, he is categorical. Behind the request to postpone the mandate, in his words, lies “powerlessness, infirmity and attempts of the PP-DB to appoint people according to regulators and here and there”.
The MP from the DPS emphasized that a majority is formed through negotiations, conversations and the search for priorities and agreement. “It can't be done with lies and insinuations and it can't be done by trampling on the Constitution, and that too rudely”, Tsonev also said.
