A fire in a large shopping center in Plovdiv forced the evacuation of many visitors to the complex. The incident was reported shortly after 6:00 p.m. on phone 112.
The fire started after a short circuit in the electrical panel of a restaurant located on the second floor of the building.
No employees and customers of the mall were injured, the police assured.
Customers have noticed smoke and a burning smell. They were immediately taken outside - after the alarms went off. The organization on the part of the complex was quick and adequate and prevented a panic situation, some of the evacuees said, BNT reported.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene dealt with the situation quickly and the fire was quickly extinguished. The damage to the establishment is currently being determined. But according to initial information, they are not large. Due to the incident, the power supply was briefly interrupted.
The reasons for what happened are in the process of being clarified.
