The Metropolitan Municipal Council (SOC) will meet today as well, after yesterday the municipal councils councilors failed to exhaust more than 120 items from the agenda until the end of the allowed time until 19:00, BTA reported.
At Thursday's meeting, the proposal to merge the “Fourth General Hospital for active treatment– Sofia“ EAD (”Fourth Medical Center – Sofia) in ”Second Multispecialty Hospital for Active Treatment– Sofia“ EAD (”Second MBAL–Sofia), the report is to be voted on today. The report caused controversy and sharp reactions among municipal councilors and the management of the Metropolitan Municipality (MO).
Among the items on the agenda of the ongoing second day meeting of the SOS will be a report with a proposal to name a square space in the center of the capital named after the lawyer Christian Takov. The authors of the report are the mayor of the “Lozenets” Konstantin Pavlov and municipal councilors from the PP-DB (SS) group Veselin Kalanovski, Boyko Dimitrov, Simeon Stavrev and Dimitar Petrov.
The proposal is an unnamed square space enclosed between Hristo Smirnenski Blvd., Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Blvd., Dragan Tsankov Blvd. and the Sofia High School of Architecture and Geodesy “Hristo Botev” (SGSAG “Hristo Botev”), located on the territory of the “Lozenets” — Capital municipality, which is currently without a name, to be named “Kristian Takov“.
