A fire in northwestern Stara Planina is burning tonight, BNT reported.
According to preliminary information, grass and bushes were burning in the Pastrina area on one side near the town of Boychinovtsi, the villages of Ohrid and Palilula and on the other side near the villages of Stubel and Lipen.
BNT reports on extraordinary inspections in Burgasko due to the risk of fires. Inspections are carried out in the late hours in places that are designated as wild campsites and fires are lit illegally, which endangers the forest.
„We noticed many outbreaks in the area. At a moment's notice, the wind might blow, and these coals could be blown across the forest. No rain has fallen, the grass is dry and the fire can become very dangerous. Here you can see that there are so many bare trees in the area that in the event of a fire it will be difficult to move them out," said Mr. Inspector Ivan Todorov, RSPBZN-Nessebar.
Sanctions reach BGN 500, and inspections will continue until the end of October, as long as the fire ban order is in effect due to the fire season.
