The registration of two different coalitions with the DPS was commented on by the social anthropologist Haralan Alexandrov and the journalist Petko Georgiev in “Hello, Bulgaria” on Nova TV.
Georgiev is of the opinion that the split in the DPS can rather give new political opportunities. He believes that there are no political reasons in the division of the party itself.
Aleksandrov pointed out that the conflict is political and it will be resolved on the political ground. He is of the opinion that “it is not certain that the two factions in the DPS will succeed in dividing the electorate” and emphasized that the rift within freed him voters.
Georgiev is of the opinion that the political power of DPS will no longer be the same. “Whoever is the winner of this battle, the balance of power in Bulgaria is already changing and the scales are tipping in the direction of other players, for example GERB, Rumen Radev”, the journalist also said.
The guests also commented on the split in the BSP. Georgiev believes that “the movements in the party are aimed at removing the obstacle to the unification of the Putin bloc in Bulgaria”. Alexandrov is of the opinion that the situation is more complicated. “I think there is stakeholder involvement in these shares”, he added.
