Bulgaria has sent eight packages of weapons, equipment and ammunition of Ukraine, all are strictly in accordance with the decisions of the National Assembly. This was explained to journalists by the Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov in response to a question about photos released on social networks that Bulgarian self-propelled artillery mounts “Gvozdika” are located in Ukraine. The minister attended the opening of the new academic year at the Military Academy “G. S. Rakovski”.
„I confirm that there was also such equipment,” Zapryanov said when asked if Bulgaria had sent such weapons, but explained that he could not confirm that the equipment in the photos was a Bulgarian howitzer, since all countries from the former Warsaw contract continue to help Ukraine and send such systems.
"Absolutely all the packages that have been sent are eight and include various weapons, equipment, ammunition, they are strictly in accordance with the decisions of the National Assembly," said Zapryanov.
According to him, these are packages of weapons and equipment that are superfluous for the Bulgarian army, added the minister.
