The main goal of the PG of GERB-SDS during the new session of the 50th National Assembly is to assist as much as possible in reducing the pre-election tension and prevent the possibility for the adoption of adventurous legislation, the sole purpose of which is the production of pre-election populism, says a statement read from the parliamentary rostrum by the deputy chairman of the group Temenuzhka Petkova. From the first political force, they called on the other formations not to turn their internal party problems into problems for the whole society. The involvement of a number of institutions in the resolution of intra-party disputes is not only harmful, but also pointless, says the declaration, transmitted by BTA.
According to GERB-SDS, the new session will rather start another election campaign.
In the 50th National Assembly, we failed to correctly count the votes of the Bulgarian citizens, this is the reason why we could neither form a majority nor a government, and if we accept this as a failure, we must emphasize that the failure is general , pointed Petkova.
Bulgarian citizens will hardly believe that we are sincere if we make too many legislative commitments and set goals that can only be achieved in the presence of a regular government and a clear parliamentary majority, she pointed out.
Today, at a time of a chronic migrant crisis, two wars that are a few hundred kilometers from the Bulgarian border, and the increasingly weakening role of our country as a factor of stability in the Balkan region, we are preparing for another early parliamentary election , the statement said. GERB-SDS note that the record low voter turnout in the last vote was clearly not taken into account by all political forces as a clear sign of citizens' mistrust of the political system. This was not a vote of no confidence in one party or another, but in the parties as a whole, Petkova stressed.
She also recalled the goals that the GERB-SDS, as the first political force, declared at the opening of the 50th National Assembly and which they follow, but remained misunderstood by the majority of the parties in the current parliament.
Perhaps that is why, in the upcoming elections, the Bulgarian citizens will make their corrections and set a radically different configuration from the current one, predicts Temenuzka Petkova. And he added that whatever it is, in the 51st parliament the rules of democracy will remain the same.
The GERB-SDS called on the other formations to show goodwill. If personal insults and constant confrontation had led to success, then we would probably not be mired in the current political impasse, hopefully during this last session of the 50- of the National Assembly and within the framework of the upcoming election campaign, let's together propose a positive agenda for the Bulgarian society, Petkova read. In her words, the real opportunity for choice would take place if politicians offered a civilized dispute and debate about ideas, rather than once again making black PR the main plot of the campaign.
