Miroslav Rashkov will serve as the chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Until now, he was the director of the Main Directorate of the National Police. This became clear at a briefing by the Minister of the Interior Atanas Ilkov, Nova TV reports.
Rashkov will lead the Ministry of Internal Affairs at an operational level during the pre-election campaign and the elections on October 27, the Minister of Energy further specified.
The current Deputy Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who performed the functions of Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Dimitar Kangaldzhiev is still in hospital, explained Ilkov.
