In an enthusiastic atmosphere, the new academic academic year at the University of Library Science and Information Technology (UniBIT). The Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev was an official guest of the event and congratulated Prof. D.Sc. Stoyan Denchev, rector of UniBIT, for his long-term contribution to the development of higher education and for the modernization of the learning process at UniBIT, as well as the students, teachers and guests of the university. He expressed deep respect for the academic staff of the university and for their efforts in preparing future specialists in the field of tourism, library science and information technology.

„Tourism in Bulgaria awaits the new specialists from UniBIT with open arms,“ said the minister. “Your education and skills are key to the development of the tourism sector, which is becoming increasingly dependent on innovation and technology. The Ministry of Tourism is actively working to integrate digitization in all aspects of tourism, and you, young people, have the opportunity to be part of this change.“ He also shared his personal experience from the student years, when ambitions and dreams were the main driver of success, and emphasized that today, more than ever, education is a key factor in achieving professional success.

The Minister of Tourism noted that UniBIT has an established reputation as an institution that prepares highly qualified specialists, competitive not only at the national, but also at the international level. He also emphasized the significant contribution of Prof. Rumen Draganov in the training of personnel, connecting education with the tourism sector.

Minister Evtim Miloshev ended with motivational words, quoting Nelson Mandela that “Education is the most powerful weapon with which we can change the world”. He urged the students to be active, look for new opportunities and not be afraid to accept challenges. “Every success you have today is an investment in tomorrow,” he added and wished everyone a successful and inspiring school year.

The Minister of Tourism expressed his confidence that UniBIT will continue to be a leader in the training of highly qualified specialists who will contribute to the future development of tourism and information technologies, not only in Bulgaria, but also on the world stage.
