Boris Bonev: From GERB they want to pull the counter of Toplofikatsia Sofia - 1

The seizure of the account of "Toplofikatsia Sofia" is expected today. by "Bulgargaz" to fall. This was stated by the municipal councilor from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria - Save Sofia" (PP-DB-SS) Boris Bonev in the studio of "Bulgaria morning".

He is adamant that they will not reach a situation where the people of Sofia will be left out in the cold.

"The only one who can pull the switch is the state, "Bulgargaz" is a state enterprise, the prime minister is from GERB, the official government is from GERB. The liabilities to the counterparties amount to BGN 1.6 billion and they date back more than 20 years. Right now in a pre-election situation for 20 million unpaid liabilities, and the day after the company announced readiness for the start of the heating season, this is a provocation by GERB", Bonev is convinced.

In his words, the Metropolitan Municipal Council has no way to allocate these funds. Mayor Vasil Terziev is holding talks and it is expected that the moratorium will be lifted today.

"Without a state injection, it is not possible - the state is one of the reasons for the accumulation of debts. The price at which they buy natural gas is market, and the price at which they sell is regulated by KEVR. Especially during the invasion of Ukraine, this difference became huge, this burden could not be transferred to the subscribers, the state had to cover it", said Bonev.

From "Save Sofia" are adamant that the solution to the debt crisis of "Toplofication" it is not the privatization of the company.

On the air of Bulgaria ON AIR, Boris Bonev expressed his position that there is no danger that the people of Sofia will be left without public transport.

"This year there is a record budget for urban transport, we have more passengers than we had predicted and more income," motivated the municipal councilor from PP-DB-SS.

Bonev categorically stated that the change in the traffic on the boulevards was inevitable, and the dissatisfaction comes only from a part of the residents. And according to "Patriarch" a traffic jam occurs only when "a dozen residents of the area block the road with a protest".

In connection with the cut down of 39 trees but "Oplchenska", the guest recalled that more than 100 new ones will be planted.

Boris Bonev also stated that in the list of approved financing projects of the Ministry of Regional Planning and Development, there is money for the design of 7 neighborhood and 2 buffer parking lots.
