The reform of the security services is of utmost importance. Protecting our southern border is both a national and a commitment of the European Union as its external border. This was stated in the studio of “Offensive with Ljubo Ognyanov” the candidate for deputy from “We continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria” Atanas Slavov. According to him, this priority is one of the main ones in the program of the DB, which has been asking for more funding for security for years.
„It is important that the services defend the national interest, not that of various oligarchic groups. That's why it's important how their leaders are chosen," added Slavov.
The former justice minister also commented on the detention of the deputy candidate from the “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms” Ceyhan Ibryamov. “Certainly, the constitutional procedures for his arrest were not fulfilled. He was clearly the subject of an investigation before his immunities were lifted,”, the lawyer is emphatic.
When asked whether Bulgaria should continue providing military aid to Ukraine, Atanas Slavov replied that the practice should definitely continue. “This strengthens both our security and our partnership relations, so it is also useful for our country”, emphasized the deputy candidate.
