The Sofia City Court did not initiate the case for the change in the registration of the DPS and refused to admit 7 people as participants in the case.

At the beginning of the session, the court reported the applications received from Delyan Peevski, Hamid Hamid, Yordan Tsanev, Halil Letifov, Stanislav Atanasov, Iskra Mihailova and Radoslav Revanski, with which they want to be constituted as a "third party - helper" in production, reported BGNES.

The judicial panel considered that the initiated proceedings are protective and there are no two parties to it, only the applicant, and for this reason the admission of a "third party– helper“.

The first meeting was scheduled for the last working day before the elections - October 25, so that the Supreme Court could rule on their appeal.

The decision of the court is subject to appeal before the Supreme Court.

At the end of August, it was officially announced that at a meeting of the Central Operational Bureau of the DPS, led by Ahmed Dogan, Delyan Peevski was released as co-chairman, and 7 more people were expelled from the party.

Then Delyan Peevski said that these decisions were illegitimate because there was no quorum for the meeting.

The reason why the case did not start is that the court rejected applications received from seven people who want to be a party to the trial. However, this decision of the court is subject to appeal before the Supreme Court of Cassation within a week. Therefore, the court scheduled the case for a new date of October 25.

BTA recalls that on September 23, a meeting of the Central Council of the DPS was held, at which the decisions of the Central Committee from 27.08.2024 were confirmed, including the exclusion and removal from the party's governing bodies of eight people.
