The growth of military conflicts in the Middle East and the aggravation of relations will lead to an escalation of migrant pressure not only towards Bulgaria, but towards the whole of Europe.
This was stated by Prof. Milen Mihov from VMRO in the studio of the show "The Day ON AIR".
In his words, Europe has become an object of "colonization" because of the social systems in Western European countries that attract migrants.
"The social system of the welfare states in Europe is an object of aggression. This is the magnet that attracts illegal refugees and migrants, he commented to Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to Assoc. Mihov, Bulgaria successfully dealt with the previous wave of migration, closing the so-called "Balkan route", but now the country must be better prepared.
"We have no desire to cope. There is no political will", said Prof. Mihov.
According to him, the border police is not well prepared and should be supported by the army.
"Border policing is inadequate under modern conditions and should be guarded in extreme conditions by the army," he added.
He also pointed out that Bulgaria has had no registered cases of illegal border crossing in the last four years, which shows that even the laws are not adequately enforced.
