Executive agency “Medical supervision”, together with 36 motorcycle clubs and the “I want a baby” foundation, are organizing a motorcade and a concert on the “People's Assembly” square. in support of donation and transplants and under the title “Yes! of life“, NOVA reported.
The event will start with a motorcycle procession, which will close the motorcycle season 2024 by the Sofia motorcycle clubs in support of donation and transplants. The procession will leave at 9 a.m. from the NIM building. It will pass through Blvd. “Bulgaria“ and “Eagle Bridge” and will reach the People's Assembly Square.
At 12 o'clock the official part of the event will start. Water for health will be officiated by His Eminence Western and Central European Metropolitan Anthony. The Executive Director of the IA “Medical Supervision“ Ivanka Dineva will present special appreciation plaques to medics, officials and people who support the cause. At 5:00 p.m., all participants will leave in a motorcade along the “Tsarigradsko shosse” blvd.
The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation to save and improve the lives of patients in need, for whom transplantation is the only chance of life.
In our country, 836 citizens are awaiting an organ transplant. 770 are in need of a kidney transplant, 22 are awaiting a heart transplant, 19 patients are in need of a liver transplant, and 10 are in need of a lung transplant.
