I.F Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov met with relatives of those injured and killed in accidents in our country and appointed a review of prosecutor Vladislav Vladimirov from the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Sofia. This was reported by the press center of the state prosecution, quoted by bTV.

The meeting was held on October 14 at the Courthouse in Sofia at the initiative of the relatives of young people who died on the road, part of the association "Angels on the Road". The leading departments of the Supreme Prosecutor's Office - Vanya Stefanova and Viktor Malinov - participated in it.

„We feel your pain. Crimes related to road deaths are a major focus of the prosecution's work. Our ambition is, as far as the law allows, to do everything we can to achieve justice in these cases. And with justice will come general prevention”, said Borislav Sarafov.
The main topics discussed included speeding up expert examinations and pre-trial proceedings, as well as the need for legislative changes to solve the problem of the lack of experts.

Sarafov also stated that on the occasion of a signal from “Angels on the road“ a review of prosecutor Vladislav Vladimirov from the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Sofia was appointed. The revision will cover the entire work of the magistrate, including the timeliness and quality of his judgments in cases of road accidents.

The reason is Vladimirov's refusal to support the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office's protest for a more effective sentence for a fatal road accident caused by a speeding driver. A 20-year-old boy from Pernik was killed in the incident, and his companion was seriously injured.

The meeting ended with a discussion of other issues raised by the relatives of the victims, who demand greater efficiency and justice in the process of investigation and punishment for the perpetrators of road tragedies.
