Household deposits in commercial banks in our country are growing by 11.4 percent per annual basis in September, reaching BGN 85.140 billion, according to the data of the Bulgarian National Bank, cited by BTA. The increase in household deposits (and NTOOD) slows down the growth rate, as in the previous month of August the acceleration reached 12.1 percent on an annual basis. Household deposits equal 43.5% of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Bulgaria.

Deposits of non-financial businesses in our country grew by 7 percent on an annual basis in September to a total of BGN 45.270 billion. In the previous month of August, the annual growth was 6.2 percent. Business money in banks on the Bulgarian market amounts to 23.1 percent of GDP.

Deposits of financial enterprises reached BGN 3.628 billion at the end of September this year, increasing by 7.3 percent compared to the same month last year. This represents a slowdown in the annual growth rate, as it stood at 16 percent in August.

At the end of September, the total amount of deposits of the non-governmental sector reached BGN 134.038 billion - an amount equal to 68.4 percent of the country's GDP. The deposit pool increased by 9.7 percent on an annual basis in September, compared to a growth of 9.1 percent a month earlier.
