Commissioner Nikolay Krusharski, head of the "Traffic Police" in the Metropolitan Directorate of Internal Affairs (SDVR), revealed details of the incident.
"The driver is penalized for improperly controlling the car, which leads to an accident. The root cause of this accident is driver distraction. He was most likely using a mobile device coupled with speeding. The combination of both violations led to this incident. It would follow that the criminal decree that he receives should be in the amount of a 200 BGN sanction," said Commissioner Krusharski.
