„Kiev's victory is impossible. The most logical finale is for the territories with a Russian-speaking population to pass to the Russian Federation, and for Ukraine to refuse to join NATO“, said MEP Peter Volgin in an exclusive interview for the Russian media „Izvestia“, BTA reported.
The interview was quoted and retold in practically all Russian media, including TASS, „Vzglyad“, „Argumenty i Fakty“ and others.
The Bulgarian MEP from „Vazrazhdane“ points out that when Viktor Orban previously spoke about peace negotiations and raised peace initiatives, senior EU officials bullied him. But after Trump's victory in the US, things have changed and what Orban says will have increasing importance. It would be good for Bulgaria to actively participate in organizing peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, but unfortunately, according to Volgin, this is impossible because Bulgarian governments are not independent and Western curators do not allow Bulgarian rulers to think independently.
„It is important for Bulgaria to have normal relations with Russia. The Bulgarian economy is suffering from the sanctions that we have introduced against the Russian Federation as members of the EU“ – Volgin also stated to the journalist from “Izvestia“. The MEP also talks about the fact that in Bulgaria we observe the following phenomenon: most Bulgarian citizens are sympathetic to Russia, but the majority of the political elite has a hostile attitude. This happens because the Bulgarian rulers know that their political future depends on their superiors overseas and therefore strive to please them, not the people.
“The EP adopts anti-Russian resolutions every month, this is absurd. I have no doubt that in the coming months the EU will adopt the 16th, 17th and 18th package of sanctions against Russia“, says Volgin. According to him, the EU quite deliberately does not want to assess the impact of these sanctions. Because if it did, it would be seen that European countries suffer much more from sanctions than the Russian economy. When we started to implement sanctions, we were told how Russia's economy would die, how everything would collapse, the oligarchs would lose their assets, people would lose their jobs, and all this would lead to a rebellion against the government. But in reality, Moscow shows no signs of collapse. On the other hand, the prime ministers of a number of European countries are resigning due to the worsening economic conditions.
“Sometimes I think that MEPs are not very smart people. They are like clockwork machines. I am sure that if Putin is gone, they will not know what to talk about“, Volgin diagnoses his colleagues in the EP and states that the West has turned into some kind of madhouse in which the patients have become the bosses. The West continues to supply the Zelensky regime with weapons and money, but the result is that Russia wins on the battlefield.
„Syria will become the new Libya, where everyone will fight against each other. None of the refugees who have already come to Europe will return to such a place. Not only will they not return, but a huge number of people will flood Europe again. However, EU officials prefer not to talk about this. They are busy dreaming of a victory over Russia. And while they are fantasizing about this mythical victory, they do not notice what is happening under their noses.“
Along with the topic of Syria and refugees, the interviewer also asks Volgin a question about whether anything will change in Bulgaria if „Vazrazhdane“ wins the elections. The answer of the Bulgarian MEP, elected to the EP with the „Vazrazhdane“ ballot is that things will change if “Vazrazhdane“ governs Bulgaria. And not because it is a “pro-Russian“ party, as the accusations are made, but because it is a pro-Bulgarian party. There may be elections again in the spring. Because the parties that can currently form a government are very different. “They are united by the so-called Euro-Atlanticism” Volgin points out. – Translated into normal language, this means a readiness to always carry out the orders of Brussels and Washington. However, you cannot endure such primitive Euro-Atlanticism for long.“
In addition to the influential media “Izvestia“ last week, MEP Peter Volgin also had an interview with radio “Sputnik“ in Crimea. Logically, the media in Crimea are impressed by Volgin's statement in the EP that Crimea is Russian and always has been.
“The most important thing is to tell the truth and stick to the facts“ – Volgin told Sputnik radio. Crimea has been Russian since the time of Catherine the Great, and despite Khrushchev giving Crimea to Ukraine, this territory remains Russian and this is the literal truth. But most of the people sitting in the EP are blinded by Russophobia and when Russia is mentioned, they fall into hysteria. “It seems to me that something is wrong with the brains of these people and this is the result of the very sharp and targeted anti-Russian propaganda, which has not appeared at all in the last few years.“
Volgin also said that the Western media do not tell the truth, but have the task of following anti-Russian rhetoric. The atmosphere in the European Parliament is the same. In the West, the propaganda blanket is extremely powerful and layered with decades of upbringing in anti-Russian sentiments. But there must also be some resistance, says Volgin. There must also be people who have the courage to speak the truth and point out what is really happening. To break the Russophobic clichés.
