Happy New Year, dear friends of FACT!
The past 2024 was even more tense, dynamic and worrying than the previous one. And again for many, tragic and sad.
The war in Ukraine continues, and its end is not in sight. Let's hope that it is approaching and the weapons in the lands close to us will fall silent in 2025.
The carnage in the Middle East also continues, where Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas show no signs of reaching lasting peace. Tensions in the region have risen, with the Hezbollah group, Iran and Lebanon intervening in the clashes.
In Syria, long-time president Bashar al-Assad was overthrown and fled to Russia, and the country's future is shrouded in uncertainty.
Thus, the fate of millions of people in Eastern Europe and the Middle East remains unclear.
The year also brought a new US president, and in a few days, Donald Trump will replace Joe Biden in the White House.
The turmoil in Europe, in addition to the war in Ukraine, was also related to the fall of the government in France and the loss of a vote of confidence by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and the Germans are preparing for elections.
In our country, the political crisis has reached comical dimensions that would really be funny if they were part of a play /just not by Malkovich/, if they were not too important for the quality of life in us.
After gaining air and water access to Schengen at the end of last year, a few days before the start of the new year, it became clear that from January 1st we will "take over" the cherished space and on land.
We enter the new year without a budget, but with a speaker of parliament, cast out with absurd Cannes torments by the new deputies who landed in the National Assembly after the next early elections.
Let's hope that peace will come in the new 2025 and that we will soon enjoy a peaceful period.
And we remain with you and wait for you every day with the first coffee.
Be healthy, happy, successful and good - you and the people you love.
Happy New Year!
