Politician Lyubomir Stefanov and Prof. Rosen Stoyanov from “Gallup International Balkan“ comment on the topics of politicians and people, negotiations and agreements, combinations and impossible coalitions in the studio of “Wake Up“.
According to Prof. Stoyanov, the photos from the talks of the parties that we saw last week show a good start. “A natural, normal European process in a particularly tense situation of expectation on the part of the Bulgarians, who ultimately decided not to vote. We saw an attempt at dialogue and, accordingly, perhaps the beginning of structuring an equal dialogue, regardless of who defeated the other“, he explained.
“We have never witnessed a normal flow of coalition culture. We do not know what this animal is, even if the governments tell us that Bulgaria is governed by coalition cabinets. Even NMSV and GERB at their peak governed with coalition partners, there has never been a party that governed alone“, commented Stefanov.
“The political entities submit the same information, that is, we can consider the fact that they say the same thing as positive. That means that they have agreed on at least this“, pointed out Prof. Stoyanov.
According to him, GERB-SDF will most likely not sign the declaration on the cordon sanitaire. “But some of its parts, which are not unconstitutional and cannot be regretted at a given moment, will find a place in such a type of universally signed text“, he specified.
“Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic. This return to normality is not that difficult to swallow. The parties will actually send one person who is prime minister, not prime minister. There is a big difference. He will manage 18-20 ministers, each of whom is from a different party“, emphasized political scientist Stefanov.
